Commercial Lines Account Manager Assistant (Hybrid)

Position Overview: The Assistant Account Manager serves as a key support role within the agency, ensuring seamless communication, efficient office operations, and excellent customer service. This position involves managing inbound communication, maintaining office functionality, handling administrative processes, and supporting the broader team to enhance productivity and client satisfaction.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time hybrid position reporting to our office located in Williamsville, NY.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing proactive guidance and recommendations to clients regarding potential coverage gaps, policy enhancements, risk management, and cost-saving strategies to help meet their evolving insurance needs.
  • Support the development of comprehensive and tailored insurance proposals for prospective clients, outlining coverage options, terms, and pricing based on their specific needs and requirements.
  • Help present and explain insurance quotes to clients for new business opportunities and policy renewals, assisting in highlighting the benefits, terms, and conditions of the proposed coverage options.
  • Prepare and issue insurance certificates as required by clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of documentation.
  • Assist with processing policy endorsements and modifications based on client requests or changes in coverage needs, ensuring policy accuracy and compliance.
  • Respond to client emails and phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and offering guidance to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Support clients with questions, concerns, and issues related to insurance policies, coverages, claims, and billing, providing clear explanations and guidance.
  • Participate in marketing efforts to identify new business opportunities, including assisting with prospecting potential clients and attending industry events to support the expansion of the agency’s client base.
  • Assist in reviewing insurance contracts and policy documents to ensure accuracy, compliance with regulatory requirements, and alignment with client expectations.
  • Work closely with the accounting department to assist in the billing process, including generating invoices, verifying premium calculations, and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Support colleagues in the audit process, contributing to effective team collaboration.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 1 or more years of experience in an administrative, account management, or related position.
  • New York Property & Casualty Insurance License
  • Basic knowledge of commercial and personal lines insurance products, coverages, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide empathetic and responsive assistance to clients and employees, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance the client experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, sharing insights and contributing to team success.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and transparently.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with solid project management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to assist in analyzing client needs and recommending solutions.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software applications, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other tools used for client management and communication.
  • A commitment to staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Maintain ethical standards and confidentiality when handling sensitive client and company information.

Pay Range: $24.04 - $26.44 per hour depending on experience.

*A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
