Position Overview: We are seeking a strategic and innovative Vice President of Employee Benefits to lead and grow our national Employee Benefits agencies. This role partners closely with executive leadership to drive operational excellence, M&A integration, and technology adoption across the division. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can unify teams, foster a customer-focused culture, and enhance Patriot Growth Insurance Services’ competitive position in the benefits market.

Work location and arrangements: This is a full-time remote position supporting our corporate office located in Fort Washington, PA, with 2–3 monthly trips to partner agency offices nationwide.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies for both group benefits and individual health that align with the company's objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and develop Regional VPs to ensure consistent engagement and performance across all Employee Benefits agencies
  • Manage M&A operational due diligence and support post-acquisition integration for seamless agency transitions
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational agility, and customer priority within the Employee Benefits teams
  • Collaborate with the other leadership team members to support organic growth and the maintenance and improvement of margin through innovation, and operational effectiveness
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the EB market, ACA coverage, and Medicare to guide strategic planning and decisions, as well as operational excellence
  • Build strong vendor and carrier relationships, coordinating training and partnership efforts nationally and regionally
  • Develop and implement compliance training, credentialing programs, and operational procedures to improve team efficiency and client satisfaction
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to advance the Patriot consolidation strategy and promote the Patriot brand nationally

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience within Employee Benefits operations at a national insurance brokerage
  • Strong knowledge of group benefits, ACA coverage, Medicare, and the regulatory landscape affecting these areas
  • Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, Insurance, Healthcare Management, or a related field
  • Experience managing vendor/carrier relationships and driving technology integration in benefits administration
  • Proven expertise in M&A operational diligence and agency integration
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, financial/operational analysis skills
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of the key drivers of an agency’s profit and loss statements, as well as its producers’ compensation
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Suite tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both written and oral)
  • Ability to travel 1-3 times per month to strategic partners and agency locations (as needed)

Compensation range: $175,000 - $225,000 plus metric-based bonus target up to 25%, depending on experience.

A wide salary range is posted for this position, and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
