Position Overview: The Benefits Account Manager is responsible for an assigned block of business providing client services through independent and proactive critical thinking and analysis. The Benefits Account Manager will work closely with clients through the renewal process by coordinating group paperwork and plan implementation, developing employee communication materials, and facilitating employee communications.

The Benefits Account Manager will also respond to client inquiries and ensure the resolution of problems. This position will support the Client Service Team, when necessary, on elevated benefit enrollment, billing, claims and other service-related issues in an efficient and effective manner.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time hybrid position supporting our office located at 325 Chesnut Street Suite 1000, Philadelphia, PA.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation, delivery, and execution of benefit strategies developed by Exude’s Consulting and Underwriting teams.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, providing guidance on benefit options, plan design, and compliance considerations.
  • Conduct individual consultations to advise employees on plan selection and benefits usage based on their personal needs.
  • Resolve complex claims, billing, and administrative issues by working directly with carriers, TPAs, and vendors.
  • Support all aspects of the renewal process, including data collection, analysis, and communication of updates to clients.
  • Deliver employee communications and educational sessions that align with each client’s overall benefit strategy.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions and resolutions in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely, accurate, and client-focused deliverables.
  • Audit client contracts, amendments, and invoices as needed.
  • Stay current on industry trends, carrier offerings, and compliance topics.
  • Handle sensitive client information with professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 2+ years as an Exude Client Care Specialist or 3+ years of relevant experience in benefits or HR.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Health Policy, Risk Management/Insurance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Active Health/Life license (or ability to obtain and maintain).
  • Demonstrated project management and client relationship skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities for both individual and group settings.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM platforms.
  • Collaborative team player with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to client sites as needed.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including occasional evenings or weekends during peak seasons.
