Benefit Analyst (Hybrid)

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Benefit Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting employee benefits programs by managing renewals, negotiating with carriers, administering RFP processes, and assisting with open enrollment. The ideal candidate has strong benefits knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding client service.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time hybrid position reporting two days per week in our office located in Denver, CO.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Skillfully negotiate with insurance and stop-loss carriers during renewal discussions to secure favorable terms and rates.
  • Collaborate with carriers and vendors, fostering strong relationships to ensure smooth negotiations and effective program administration.
  • Administer the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for medical, Rx, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
  • Manage the internal flow of work related to renewals and open enrollment, ensuring efficient and accurate processing.
  • Prepare detailed spreadsheets and reports to communicate renewal and plan information to stakeholders.
  • Process carrier changes and new business submissions during open enrollment, addressing discrepancies as needed.
  • Support Benefit Advocates with benefit guides, enrollments, compliance notices, and related tasks.
  • Stay current on industry regulations, trends, and best practices to enhance client and team support.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in employee benefits administration, with expertise in analyzing and managing benefit plans.
  • Associate Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits, compliance requirements, and emerging industry trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and other client management tools.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and delivering exceptional client service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Colorado Life and Health Insurance License.
  • Experience working at an employee benefits insurance agency.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000 per year depending on experience

*A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
