Commercial Insurance Sales Producer

Position Overview: Our agency is looking for an experienced and outgoing insurance sales professional with exceptional customer service skills and a successful career track in the commercial lines insurance marketspace to join our team as an Insurance Sales Producer on our growing Commercial Lines Team. As an Insurance Producer, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing potential clients/prospects to sell various insurance products. You'll assist clients in selecting appropriate coverage, explain policy details, and provide excellent customer service throughout the purchasing process.

Work location: This is a full-time, in office position serving the clients of our office in Minot, North Dakota.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with current and prospective clients about insurance products and policies for their risk profile
  • Build and maintain a book of business
  • Build customized insurance policies and packages to meet clients’ needs
  • Suggest modifications and updates to clients’ existing insurance policies
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Collaborate with the account management team throughout the policy and renewal processes
  • Assist clients with filing insurance claims and other policy changes
  • Maintain print and electronic records and files as required
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree is preferred; A high school diploma is required
  • 3+ years relevant work experience in insurance sales environment
  • 1-3 years Commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Sales experience
  • An active P & C insurance license
  • EPIC agency management system experience preferred
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Suite and products
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Solution driven, problem-solving skills and proven analytical skills
  • A passion for being part of a team that drives our company to industry leadership
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both peers and clients
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Compensation: This position is commission structured that can see top producers earning in the $200,000 and above range.

A wide salary range is posted for this position, and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
