Personal Lines Internal Sales & Retention Specialist

Position Overview: The Personal Lines Internal Sales and Retention Specialist is responsible for retaining existing clients and driving sales growth within the Personal Lines Department. This position builds strong relations with clients, cross-sells additional policies, and ensures customer satisfaction, enhancing client loyalty and maximizing revenue for the Agency.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time position working in our office located in Tallahassee or Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Cross-sell additional personal lines insurance policies to existing clients.
  • Generate new business through internal marketing efforts and lead generation strategies.
  • Manage and execute the remarketing process for renewals to ensure clients receive the best coverage options.
  • Monitor and manage the new business internal personal lines sales queue.
  • Review insurance applications and renewal requests to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines.
  • Handle endorsements, follow-ups, and other service-related tasks efficiently. Ensure accurate processing of policy changes and endorsements.
  • Collaborate on internal agency marketing efforts to generate new leads.
  • Utilize marketing tools and strategies to attract potential clients.
  • Engage in continuous learning through continuing education classes and stay updated on carrier changes in guidelines and quoting procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a customer support, sales, or account management position (Required).
  • Florida 2-20 or 20-44 Insurance License (Required).
  • Experience working in Florida’s Personal Lines insurance market (Required).
  • High School Diploma/GED or Associate Degree in Business Administration (Required).
  • Experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry, specifically in Personal Lines (Preferred).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field (Preferred).
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of personal lines insurance products, coverages, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide empathetic and supportive assistance to clients and employees by being responsive to client needs and proactively seeking opportunities to enhance the client experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage daily responsibilities effectively.
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding clients’ unique needs, and providing customized insurance solutions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, combined with a persistent approach to achieving successful resolutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey information clearly and transparently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, sharing insights and contributing to collective success, and other tools used for client management and communication.
  • Proficiency in using software systems, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and client information.
