Position Overview: The Retirement Solutions Specialist plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to The Olson Group’s group retirement participants and individuals wealth planning clients. This position is responsible for managing various administrative tasks, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring the smooth operation of the retirement solutions department.
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time, hybrid position with a possibility for remote work reporting to our office in Omaha, NE.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service to group retirement plan participants and individual wealth planning clients.
- Address inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally via email and phone.
- Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through attentive and personalized interactions.
- Manage appointment scheduling for clients and update the future calendar to ensure timely follow-ups.
- Coordinate meetings, activities, and paperwork involved in servicing both group and individual clients.
- Utilize Salesforce and other tools for efficient calendar management and scheduling purposes.
- Conduct regular reviews of quarterly production to assess client performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform annual reviews for individual wealth planning clients, ensuring their financial goals are on track.
- Facilitate annual reviews for group retirement plan clients and participate in any special meetings required by clients.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of client interactions, activities, and paperwork.
- Generate reports using Salesforce and other software tools to track client progress and analyze key performance metrics.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and preferences.
- Proactively follow up with individual wealth planning clients to provide updates, answer queries, and offer additional support as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in retirement plan management
- Nebraska Life and Health Insurance License
- Series 6, Series 7, Series 63/65/66 Professional Licenses
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a similar field
- 5 or more years of experience in retirement plan management (preferred)
- Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC) certification (preferred)
- Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) certification (preferred)
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of retirement plan types and regulations, including 401(K), 403(b), 401(a), 457(b), and 414(h), mutual funds, and the modern investment theory.
- Provide empathetic and supportive assistance to clients and employees by being responsive to client needs and proactively seeking opportunities to enhance the client experience.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage daily responsibilities effectively.
- Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding clients’ unique needs, and providing customized insurance solutions.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, combined with a persistent approach to achieving successful resolutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey information clearly and transparently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with in a team environment, sharing insights and contributing to collective success, and other tools used for client management and communication.
- Proficiency in using software systems, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and client information.
