Benefits Analyst

The Safegard Group, Inc. is recruiting for a full time, Employee Benefits Account Assistant. Safegard is a growing agency that offers a dynamic work environment for high energy, motivated, team-oriented employees. Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as an Employee Benefits Analyst. In this role, you will evaluate, administer, and optimize employee benefits programs to ensure they align with organizational goals and meet employee needs. You will conduct data analysis, benchmark benefits plans, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to provide strategic insights and enhance the employee experience. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for benefits, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time position working in our office located in Media, PA.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the review & design of Employee Benefits products including fully insured and self-insured medical plans, worksite products, group life, short-term disability, long-term disability, dental coverage, and vision coverage.
  • Communicate and assist customers with understanding of and acting on laws affecting Employee Benefits and Human Resources including: FMLA, ACA, and ERISA.
  • Request new business policy corrections and help clients resolve claims/billing issues.
  • Maintain accurate records within agency management system and electronic files.
  • Identify areas for process improvement within Employee Benefits department.
  • Assist in the preparation of client facing presentations and meetings.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • College Graduate, Licensed Life & Health Producer (can be obtained upon hire).
  • Proficient with MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of AMS360 Agency Management System a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of Employee Navigator a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of Vertaforce & BenefitPoint a plus but not required
  • Team-oriented with ability to lead when necessary and take direction well.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Confidence in business and social settings.
  • Organized, efficient, and detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task and delegate or handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
