Position Overview: The Commercial Lines Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing the quoting, binding, and quality control processes for new business accounts within the Commercial Lines department. Your key objective is to coordinate efforts within the Commercial Lines team to ensure compliance, adherence to established procedures, and secure access to Commercial markets for both the Patriot carrier team and the agency as a whole.

Work Arrangement: This a full-time, remote position that supports our office located in Jacksonville, FL. Computer equipment will be provided by the company upon hire.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with Insurance Underwriters through high-quality submissions, fair negotiations, and meaningful meetings
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for risk placement
  • Facilitate and collaborate with the Commercial Lines Marketing Team
  • Keep the Commercial Lines Marketing Team’s quote/bind tracking log updated with accurate information
  • Mentor and/or formally direct Commercial Marketing Assistants in submission creation, proposal development, application packets, and coverage binding.
  • Review and pre-underwrite Producer and Sales Agent requests for commercial quotes.
  • Advise Producers and Sales Agents on pre-underwriting information and documentation required for obtaining quotes.
  • Mentor, collaborate, and consult with Producers and Sales Agents on risk analysis, coverage needs, and potential markets.
  • Negotiate quote premium rates with insurance brokers/carriers.
  • Analyze quotes received from insurance brokers/carriers.
  • Provide Producers and Sales Agents with insurance quotes, application packets, payment plans, premium financing terms, and required documentation.
  • Provide agency proposals upon request.
  • Complete quality control procedures for binding and processing new business policies.
  • Bind coverage with insurance carriers/brokers.
  • Create application packets including agency forms, insurance carriers’ forms, Acord & Supplemental applications, Premium Finance Contracts, and Agency Invoice.
  • Send application packets out for e-signature to clients.
  • Collect required payments and process accordingly with EPay and/or Finance Company.
  • Confirm coverage and follow up for Binder, Invoice, and issued policy from insurance carriers.
  • Follow up with Producers for any remaining objectives and/or required documents for underwriting.
  • Add policies to the agency management system, post invoices, and assign accounts to CL Account Managers.
  • Email confirmation of coverage to customers with their Designated Account Manager’s contact information.
  • Research and maintain industry knowledge of developing insurance industry trends.
  • Mentor, collaborate, and consult with Commercial Lines Account Managers on potential market placements for client insurance needs.
  • Meet with insurance carrier marketing representatives, underwriters, and wholesalers to review product offerings, pricing changes, discuss individual business accounts, and review company production reports.
  • Attend events, gatherings, and meetings facilitated by insurance carriers.
  • Occasionally accompany Producers to out-of-office client meetings.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of Commercial Lines Property and Casualty Insurance Experience strongly preferred
  • 220 Florida Insurance license required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • AMS360 Experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products required
  • Extremely Detail Oriented
  • Positive Attitude with Self-starter mentality
  • Strong organizational skills, including daily prioritizing and logical thinking
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully while expediting issues
  • Ability to work in deadline-oriented environment
  • Able to work with others in teams

Pay Range: $31.25 - $36.06 per hour depending on experience.

A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
