Position Overview: The Benefit Counselor is responsible for effectively communicating and educating employees about the range of benefits offered. The Benefit Counselor will be responsible for presenting and explaining the various employee benefits available, addressing employee queries, and guiding them through the enrollment process using designated software. Please note that this position may involve working nights and weekends to accommodate employees' schedules.

Work Arrangement: This is a seasonal, full-time, remote position that supports our office located in Brimingham, AL. Computer equipment will be provided by the company upon hire.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Clearly and concisely present the array of employee benefits offered by the company.
  • Educate employees on the details of each benefit, including coverage, eligibility, and how they can maximize the offerings to suit their needs.
  • Guide employees through the benefits enrollment process using designated software platform.
  • Offer step-by-step assistance, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure a smooth enrollment experience.
  • Advocate for employees' benefit-related needs to ensure a positive experience.
  • Stay updated on changes to benefit plans, legal requirements, and industry trends.
  • Continuously refine communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and understanding.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 6 months industry experience with enrollments and various enrollment software/carrier benefits
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Insurance license for all states involved in enrollment project
  • Communicate well with all levels of employees within an organization from entry to c-suite.

Pay Range: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience

A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
