Commercial Lines Account Manager (Hybrid)

Position Overview: We’re seeking an experienced, service-focused Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team in Flower Mound. In this role, you’ll independently manage a dedicated book of business across various industries, serving as the primary contact for renewals, endorsements, audits, and day-to-day servicing. You’ll have significant autonomy to make client-facing decisions, solve problems, and drive account strategy, going beyond processing to interpret contracts, assess risk, and guide clients through coverage decisions, carrier negotiations, and compliance requirements. Work Arrangement: This is a full-time position with hybrid opportunities available after 60 days, reporting to our office located in Flower Mound, TX.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Manage a book of commercial lines accounts, handling renewals, marketing, and ongoing service needs from start to finish
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for clients on policy coverages, contract compliance, claims coordination, and carrier communications
  • Prepare proposals, applications, and policy documents, including Acord forms, binders, certificates, and invoices
  • Quote and remarket accounts, negotiating with carriers and presenting competitive solutions to clients
  • Maintain clean, organized documentation in the AMS per agency standards (including file notes, audit outcomes, and policy changes)
  • Coordinate with underwriters, producers, and internal teams to ensure deadlines are met and service remains proactive and accurate
  • Interpret insurance certificate language and ensure client deliverables meet contractual obligation

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Active Property & Casualty License
  • 2+ years of Commercial Lines experience in an independent agency, MGA, or brokerage environment
  • Strong working knowledge of core commercial coverages (GL, Property, Auto, WC, E&O, etc.)
  • Experience preparing insurance documents including COIs, binders, SOIs, and renewal presentations
  • High level of organization and accuracy in a fast-paced setting; able to manage multiple deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Client-first mindset with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive); Applied Epic or similar AMS experience preferred
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to support clients, producers, and teammates when needed

Pay Range: $25 - $27 per hour depending on experience plus commission opportunity and benefits.

The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work.
