Employee Benefits Client Service Manager (hybrid)

Position Overview: The Employee Benefits Client Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the relationships with our company's small and large group benefit clients. They will ensure client satisfaction, address any concerns, and work to improve overall client experience. Group Insurance experience is required; this is not an HR position.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time hybrid position based out of our office in Melville, NY. The Client Service Manager may be expected to travel and be present client meetings, as needed.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Act as the day-to-day contact for employer groups, responding to inquiries regarding plan benefits, enrollments, billing, and claims.
  • Coordinate the renewal process by gathering census data, reviewing carrier proposals, conducting plan comparisons, and preparing presentation materials.
  • Assist with marketing benefit plans to carriers and support the implementation of new business and group changes.
  • Work directly with insurance carriers, TPAs, and vendors to resolve issues, request quotes, and ensure accurate policy administration.
  • Maintain client files and documentation in accordance with agency procedures and regulatory standards, including ACA and ERISA guidelines.
  • Coordinate open enrollment processes, assist with materials preparation, and support employee communications in collaboration with the client.
  • Accurately enter and update data in the agency management system and client HRIS/ben admin platforms as needed.
  • Partner with producers and internal teams to deliver consistent service and contribute to client retention and growth initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Active NY Life & Health license required
  • 4+ years of experience in employee benefits account management, preferably in an agency, brokerage, or carrier environment.
  • High school diploma required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting small to large sized employer groups; exposure to fully insured and self-funded plans a plus.
  • Familiarity with agency management systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality, client-first service in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000 per year depending on experience.

A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
