Commercial Lines Account Manager

Position Overview: Our Agency is seeking an experienced and licensed insurance sales professional with exceptional customer services skills and a focus in supporting the commercial lines insurance interests of Legacy clients, to join us as a Commercial Lines Account Manager. In this position you will provide quality service to existing Legacy insurance clients while effectively developing and managing a growing commercial lines book of business. This includes building strong relationships with clients, cross-selling additional policies, and ensuring customer satisfaction to enhance client loyalty and maximize revenue for the Agency.

Work location Arrangement: This is a full-time position working in either of our Legacy offices located in Tallahassee, or Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Manage both new and renewal accounts, evaluating risk exposure, determining appropriate coverages, and placing policies in alignment with client needs and underwriting guidelines
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and industry practices to assess risks effectively and recommend suitable coverage options to clients
  • Regularly review renewal and expiration reports, collaborating with team members to strategize the best course of action for each client account
  • Update account information, process endorsements, and issue policies accurately and efficiently
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs, addressing inquiries, and resolving concerns promptly and effectively
  • Proactively communicate with clients to ensure their expectations are met and to identify opportunities for cross selling of additional coverage or policy adjustments
  • Provide empathetic and supportive assistance to clients and employees by being responsive to client needs and proactively seeking opportunities to enhance the client experience
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, Producers, underwriters, and agency management, facilitating smooth interactions and ensuring effective communication
  • Review and study carrier guidelines regularly to maintain a comprehensive understanding of product offerings and underwriting requirements
  • Participate in continuing education classes to enhance knowledge and skills in the insurance field
  • Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices
  • Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and client information

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a business-related field
  • An active Florida 2-20 Insurance License
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in an insurance sale, account management, or a customer service-related position
  • Prior insurance sales experience in the commercial lines' property and casualty (P&C) field
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial lines insurance products, including coverages, policies, procedures, and underwriting principles
  • Proficient in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and Microsoft Office Suite tools
  • Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships while understanding clients’ unique needs and providing customized insurance solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage daily responsibilities effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and transparently
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment and contribute to the collective success
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future

Compensation range: A starting base salary in the $55,000 to $65,000 range, depending on the candidate's experience.

A wide salary range is posted for this position, and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
